Reliability Evaluation Through Analytics and Data for Emerging Technology in Photovoltaics

Ready-PV 1st Call Will Come Very Soon

  • Ready-PV 1st Call Will Come Very Soon

The first call for proposals to access Horizon Europe – Ready-PV infrastructures will come very soon – 1 October 2026.

The reliability of next-generation photovoltaic modules is one of the most critical challenges that will determine the future market penetration of European PV production — enabling higher efficiencies at the lowest cost and lowest carbon footprint.

Ready-PV will boost this ambition for the emerging PV reliability community by providing transnational and virtual access aiming to:

    • Combine European top-ranked, relevant and complementary PV reliability infrastructures to foster the testing and characterisation of next-generation solar cells and modules.
    • Facilitate access to relevant reliability-focused infrastructures for the community of EU PV academia and industry.
    • Connect and support the growing European PV reliability community through physical and virtual infrastructures and through targeted networking activities.
    • Further develop physical and virtual infrastructures, build FAIR, up-to-date data on materials and devices — on long-term performance, environmental and economic impact — enabling evidence-based commercial and political decision-making.

The first call will open on 1 October 2026. Stay tuned!

18 partner institutions from Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Slovenia — as well as Chile — are sharing their 43 physical and virtual infrastructures for:

    • outdoor testing under real-world and accelerated-ageing conditions
    • indoor stability testing (damp heat, thermal cycling, UV, combined stressors)
    • advanced structural and chemical characterisation (synchrotron, neutron, electron microscopy)
    • virtual and AI/digital tools for modelling, forecasting and FAIR data management

Information on how to apply is available now at the Procedure page.

These services are offered to EU researchers in academia and industry, SMEs included. Everyone interested will have the chance to submit their proposal — a Scientific Case and an Experimental Plan — through Ready-PV GATE, a single entry point platform, where proposals will be evaluated by a Selection Panel of experts internal and external to the Ready-PV Community.
