Long-term experiments run without the user present, with periodic progress updates provided throughout. On-site access includes three days for training, sample preparation, and installation, while remote access is also available. During outdoor exposure, monthly indoor measurements capture device performance under controlled conditions. Standard experiments accommodate up to 15 devices tested simultaneously outdoors for periods of up to six months (adjustable), with initial preparation covering encapsulation via vacuum lamination, wiring, and attachment of temperature sensors and connectors.

This facility has hosted some of the longest-running outdoor perovskite device trials on record, extending up to four years. Installed equipment has enabled numerous collaborations within the perovskite reliability research community, including partnerships with industrial players such as OxfordPV, Qcells, and Kaneka. The supporting team brings extensive expertise, particularly in small-area perovskite solar cells and perovskite-based tandem devices.
